2021 - 2024 SYNOD
For a Synodal Church

The call for New Zealand's Catholics is to engage with the Instrumentum Laboris, the working document guiding the upcoming Synod meeting in Rome.

Bishop Stephen Lowe emphasises that this document is a starting point, not a final conclusion, shaped by the collective input of the People of God during various stages of the Synod process. Lay Catholics, including Manuel Beazley and Fr Dennis Nacorda from New Zealand, will participate with voting rights in the 2023 and 2024 Synod assemblies. Bishop Steve sees this as an opportunity for all to contribute and invites prayerful reflection on the document's contents, acknowledging it as a product of the Holy Spirit speaking through the global Church.
