In 1967 a special appeal was launched to provide a concrete block-making machine for a station on Wallis and Futuna. Later, in 1974, as a result of that project the National Mission Project was established to be used for a special mission purpose in the Pacific Islands each year. The annual recipient is chosen at the February Board Meeting. Branches are invited to suggest a project through their Diocesan Presidents .
